Disability Creation Process
This document is the result of the Review Commitee on Quebec classification «Disability Creation Process» works conducted between January 1995 and Fall 1998. This theoretical orientation sheds further light on its educational applications, centered on the openness and integration of people with disabilities issues, and its implications on new developments in knowledge about the production of social beings. Furthermore, this position allows to consider the origin and impact of "normative" differences on each of its conceptual dimensions. Finally, this approach uses a comprehensive, holistic, systemic, environmental perspective, which notably contributes to the destigmatization of people with disabilities, to create a classification applicable to all, but compatible with an emphasis on the production of differences proper to the explanation of the causes and consequences of disease and trauma.
