INDCP

Mandate

The International Network on the Disability Production Process objectives are:

  • Supporting the development of knowledge and expertise of the Human Development Model (HDM), and the Disability Production Process (DCP), which illustrates the causes and the consequences of diseases, traumas and other human and personal integrity and development hazards;


  • Contributing to the diffusion of research results, information and training about the HDM, the DCP, and the personal and environmental factors influencing persons with disabilities social participation;


  • Promoting people with disabilities' human rights in order for them to acheive optimal social participation by working for an inclusive society, the evaluation of services organization models and programs, and the adoption of social policies insuring equal opportunities;


  • Putting into place an international network dedicated to the improvement and promotion of the HDM and DCP, which will maintain links with experts and organizations from different countries involved into reviewing and applicating the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) of the WHO, as well as, the development of classifications and information systems in health care and social policies;
